Daniel Orama, Worship Pastor
Daniel Orama joined the St. John’s family in 2020. As Worship Pastor (part-time), he builds, coaches, and supports various groups of volunteer musicians and vocalists who join him in providing live musical worship each week. With over 30 years of professional music experience, Daniel is passionate about worshipping the Lord, helping others develop their musical gifts, and growing the next generation of worship leaders. Most recently, he is the voice clinician for the ATOMA Worship Conference to take place at Lancaster Bible College.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Daniel is the Co-Founder (along with his wife, Tami) of Vocal Production Studios in Lancaster, PA and is a highly recognized voice professional, composer, and producer. Daniel was a community producer of the revival of “Godspell” on Broadway. He also wrote new contemporary versions of “A Christmas Carol” and “Summer Rock,” which both debuted on Off Broadway. As a vocal instructor, he continues to train artists from the beginner to the advanced professional. Daniel has devoted over 30 years in the art of singing. He studied voice from professors of the New England Conservatory, Mannes Conservatory, The Julliard School, Westminster Choir College, FSU, and the Metropolitan Tenors.
Daniel has previously served as the Resource Ministry Associate at Calvary Chapel in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where he was responsible for the training of over 70 volunteers in the day-to-day operation of the resource ministry. He currently holds a phase 4 in Jeet Kune Do and served as a Boxing Trainer at the Universal Athletic Club in Lancaster, PA. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Historical Studies from Empire State College in Sarasota Springs, NY, completed Master of Arts degree coursework in Vocal Performance from Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY, and is currently completing a Master of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from Liberty University. He put his faith in Christ as an adult in NY. He lives near Lancaster with his wife Tami and his daughters Brielle and Alivia, and loves working on fun projects with his daughters, JKD and Boxing for fitness, watching Lord of the Rings, and going to Hersheypark with family and friends.
