Brenda Custer, Lay Delegate
Brenda Custer grew up in Japan as a missionary kid from 1957-1973 and joined the St. John’s family in 1974. As Lay Delegate, she represents St. John’s as a voting member of the E.C. National Conference and is a member of the E.C. Global Ministries Commission/Japan Committee. She also serves St. John’s as a nursery volunteer, children’s church teacher, and choir member. Brenda is passionate about loving Jesus, serving others, sharing her faith in Christ (especially with children), and helping children in developing countries.
She owned and operated “Annville Therapeutic Massage, Inc.” from 1996-2017, where she worked as a licensed massage therapist. Before opening her business, she worked as a dental assistant and a chiropractic assistant/office manager.
Brenda graduated high school from Christian Academy in Japan, attended Messiah College, and graduated from Lancaster School of Massage. She put her faith in Christ as a child at Word of Life Bible Camp during a missionary furlough from Japan to the United States. She lives near Annville with her husband Dale, has three children and twelve grandchildren, and loves spending time with her family, cheering on her grandchildren at various events, having coffee and lunch with friends, walking, reading, traveling, experiencing other cultures, singing, spending time with Jesus each morning, and worshipping God with praise and worship music.
